After assembly attach the other end of an airline* into an air pump*. If required reduce the airflow by either turning the pump down or clamping the airline*.

Using a power head* attach it to the Airlift Pipe on the filter. Seek advice from your aquarium specialist for more information.

Thread the airline* through the Airlift Pipe and attach to the Air Inlet. Gently slide the Airlift Pipe along the airline* and push firmly into place.

If your air pump* is going to be placed below the water level, ensure you install a check valve* in the airline*. This will prevent water from siphoning out of your aquarium if your air pump* is turned off.

Refer to the instructions provided with your air pump* and power head* for set up.

Remove Sponge

Clean Sponge

Replace Sponge

Remove Airlift Pipe and then detach the Airline from the Filter Air assembly. Firmly grasp Cap and separate from Stem and Base to remove Sponge.

Slide the Sponge onto the Stem and press down on the Cap to secure.Thread airline* back through the Airlift Pipe and firmly push into place.

Rinse the Sponge by gently squeezing into a bucket of discarded aquarium water. Reassemble the filter and place back into the aquarium.
