Hoses and Fittings

Check the fittings for any internal buildup of detritus or algae, which can reduce flow.

If cleaning is required, remove all plumbing from the aquarium and take it to a sink.

Disassemble all fittings and flush them out with warm tap water.

If the Hoses have become stiff and inflexible, they should be replaced.

Use a hose brush* to clean Hoses, fittings and Quick Release Taps.

Reconnect all fittings and reposition them on the aquarium.
