Setting Up

With any equipment intended for aquarium use, it is recommended that you rinse all components with clean water before initial use.

Unpack and Prepare

Carefully remove filter from the box and remove all packaging materials. Check that all components are present before discarding packaging.

Remove all media from packaging and rinse with tap water. This is the only time tap water should be used on biological media.

Pack the media into the Media Baskets according to the guide, see Media Placement, page 8 .

Place the Media Baskets into the

Canister Body one at a time. Ensure that they are aligned so that the arrows on them are pointing the same way as the arrow on the Canister Body.

O-ring

Connect the Quick Release Taps and lock in place by pushing the lever down.

Spread some Lubricant evenly over the Main O-ring with your fingers.

Align the Pump Head so that the Flow Pipe fits into the basket seal.

Using the Body Clips

Take care there is nothing between the Pump Head and Canister Body before locking the Clips.
