Carefully push down so that the Pump Head fits flush against the top of the Canister Body.

Secure the Pump Head with the four Clips. Close the Body Clips together then close the Pump Head Clips. 1 2

disconnect the Hoses from the inlet and outlet. Block one outlet with your thumb and blow air into the other one. If air can be heard escaping,

The canister filter media must be arranged so that the water flows through the coarsest

media first and then through the finest media. As this filter’s flow is from top to bottom, always arrange the coarsest media at the top of the filter. Sponges are useful to separate different types of media.
