IM | Nautilus 2700 Canister Filter

Inspiring Excellence in Fish Care!

Setting Up cont.

The Hoses included with this filter are coiled in the box; they will tend to curl because of this. To reduce this, soak the Hoses in hot (not boiling) water for ten minutes. Then position them straight until cool. PREPARING AND ATTACHING HOSES

FITTING HOSES TO PIPES Fill a cup with hot (not boiling) water and soak the end of the Hose for a few minutes.

While the Hose end is hot, push it as far as possible onto the fitting and allow to cool.

Secure with the Lock Nuts.

Connecting Plumbing

Place the filter in the cabinet. Ensure there is enough room around it to allow access during maintenance.

Decide on plumbing arrangement required and select appropriate fittings. See Arranging Fittings, page 10 .

Assemble Intake and Return Assemblies.

Connect Hoses to the assemblies and place them in the desired position in the aquarium.

Hose Tail

Connect Hoses to the appropriate inlet and outlet, secure by using the locknuts. The Hosetail can be rotated to avoid kinks in the Hose. Locknut

Trim the Hoses to the required length. Allow 10 - 20cm extra slack to make maintenance access easier.
