Take care not to lose small parts when servicing the aquarium, especially when cleaning filter components at a sink.

Monthly - filter maintenance

Turn off the power and unplug. Remove the LED Light and Glass Lids.

Remove and rinse the filter media as described under Fortnightly Maintenance.

Disconect and remove the Pump assembly.

Remove the Intake Strainer and Impeller Cover from the Pump. Carefully pull the Impeller and Impeller Shaft out of the Pump.

Impeller Well

Use a pipe brush* to clean the Pump, paying particular attention to the Impeller Well. Rinse all other components of the Pump.

Reassemble the Pump, reconnect the Hose and the Elbow. Place it back into the filter and secure the Duckbill Outlet.

Replace the media back into the filter.

Replace the LED Light and Glass Lids. Reconnect power and monitor the aquarium to make sure that all equipment is working correctly.
